| Visitors to Ko PhaNgan can take the air conditioned train from Bangkok to Surat Thani and catch a ferry to the Island. A snapshot of the train schedule is shown below. For further details, please click on www.railway.co.th for train schedules. In the upper right hand corner, you can click on "English version". Choose the "Southern Route" for train service from Bangkok to Surat Thani.
Visitors must take a bus or taxi from the train station to the ferry port at Donsak (about one hour from the train station) and take the Raja Ferry to Ko PhaNgan.Alternatively, a night boat with sleeping berths leaves from downtown Surat Thani at 23:00 hours and arrives in Ko PhaNgan the following morning.
